Fiat 1500 Mk 2, photo 1966

Fiat 1500 Mk 2.early 1960's.  4 cylinder 1500 cc, 4 forward gears on the column, disk brakes, recliner seats.

A remarkable car, capable of  speeds faster than the Holden 179 motor and with better handling.  Standard features were far more advanced that most Australian made cars at that time.
Major flaws were failure of oil seals and, failure of front wheel bearings.
